People living with dementia or memory loss and their caregivers can attend the McPherson Public Library’s inaugural Memory Café from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the library’s meeting room, 214 W. Marlin St.

The free cafe will be the first in a monthly series. Registration is required so organizers can prepare enough supplies and refreshments. The library describes the cafe as “a welcoming, supportive space designed for connection, conversation, and hope.”

According to the library’s online event listing, the session will feature Paint Your Partner, along with music and light refreshments. Attendees can register through the online calendar or call the library at 620-245-2570 to register or ask questions.

The cafe joins the library’s other October programming, including Cover to Cover Book Club discussions of Lisa Genova’s Every Note Played on Oct. 13 and 14.
