McPherson police, nonprofit to host shooting event for veterans and first responders
Weapons must be unloaded upon arrival at the McPherson Police Department range
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Police Department and national nonprofit Sheep Dog Impact Assistance are partnering to host a shooting event for military veterans and first responders at the city's police range.
The event aims to foster camaraderie and support the well-being of service personnel, reflecting the nonprofit's mission. Police Chief Mikel Golden, who serves as an ambassador for Sheep Dog Impact Assistance, is helping lead the effort.
Organizers require all participants to sign liability waivers before shooting and stress that all firearms must be unloaded upon arrival at the facility.
