McPherson Middle School Wrestlers Sweep Double Dual
Bullpups dominate Haysville West, edge Haysville in home action
The McPherson Middle School wrestling team swept a double dual meet Tuesday, defeating Haysville 54-47 before dominating Haysville West 77-15. The Bullpups showcased their depth with strong performances across multiple weight classes in both varsity and junior varsity competition.
Leading the way for McPherson were nine varsity wrestlers who posted perfect 2-0 records on the night: Eli Brown (90#), Trace Dearing (100#), Eddie Koehn (105#), Mark Montgomery (110#), Dalton VanEaton (115#), Gavin Williams (120#), Tatem Schulz (127#), Towns DeLaney (141#), and Jordan Reno (165#). The Bullpups' JV squad also contributed with strong showings, including 2-0 performances from Caysen Huber (100#) and perfect nights from Eli Barnett, Fabian Banuelos-Moreno, and Ezekiel Zellner at 105#, along with Bentley Pfeiff (127#) and Ronin Pryzmus (180#).
