McPherson Middle School Girls Wrestling Opens Season with Dominant Performance
Lady Bullpups post 77% win rate in season opener; eight wrestlers claim first place
The McPherson Middle School girls wrestling team opened their season with an impressive showing, posting a 77% win rate at their first meet. Eight Lady Bullpups claimed first-place finishes while earning 89 total team points.
First Place Finishers:
Lauw (9 points) went 2-0 with falls over Willis of Prairie Hills (1:45) and Wyatt of Haysville West (0:14).
Foster (9 points) went 2-0, pinning Rhea of Haysville West (3:27) and Burns of Haysville (1:28).
Racines (9 points) went 2-0 with falls over File of McPherson (0:42) and Whisler of Haysville (1:38).
Shober (9 points) went 2-0, defeating Bina-Claytor of Haysville (0:26) and Higginbotham of Prairie Hills (1:14).
Dewitt (9 points) went 2-0 with falls over Temaat of Haysville (0:53) and Gray of Prairie Hills (3:08).
Rierson (9 points) went 2-0, pinning Spain of Haysville (1:26) and Makey of Prairie Hills (1:00).
Gant (9 points) went 2-0 with dominant falls over Bieler of Haysville (0:53) and Cook of Haysville West (0:13).
Peery (4 points) went 2-0 with a decision (8-4) and fall (1:54) over Mitchell of Haysville West.
Babcock (6 points) went 2-0 with falls over Hull of Prairie Hills (2:56, 1:40).

Diaz (4 points) went 1-1, falling to Musgrove of Haysville West but defeating Reyes of Haysville (1:51).
