McPherson Main Street to Rock the Block, Hippie Style
Downtown event features late-night shopping, contests and a $500 shopping spree drawing
MCPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Main Street will host Shop the Night Away: Rock the Block – Hippie Style, a family-friendly Friday night event in downtown McPherson. Shoppers are invited to break out the bell-bottoms, fringe and flower crowns for an evening of late-night shopping, groovy tunes from DJ Dossett and specials, sales and surprises at participating businesses.
Attendees can enter to win a $500 shopping spree, compete in the second annual Air Guitar Contest or dress up for the Flower Power Costume Contest. "I can't wait to see our downtown filled with music, shoppers, and so many familiar faces," said Johni Doughman, executive director of McPherson Main Street. "Every time you choose to shop local, you're helping our businesses and our community grow. Let's Rock the Block and make it a night to remember!"
