Commission sets strict parking rules for mobile food vendors

MCPHERSON, Kan. - The McPherson City Commission adopted new regulations for mobile food vendors, adding specific language to regulate where vendors may operate. The new rules stipulate that no mobile food vendors are allowed to park on any city property without prior approval from the city administrator or the commission. Registered vendors will be notified of the changes via email and the ordinance will be published on the city's website and social media channels.

Holiday trolley numbers show record success

MCPHERSON, Kan. - The McPherson Convention and Visitors Bureau reported that the Holiday Light Trolley carried more than 1,150 riders during the recent festive season. The trolley operated for 28 out of 31 nights in December, taking residents through Lakeside Park and various neighborhoods. Christmas tree recycling program underway

MCPHERSON, Kan. - The city has begun its annual Christmas tree recycling program at the McPherson Water Park. Residents can drop off real Christmas trees at the southeast corner of the park's north side until Jan. 15. The Park Department will chip the trees into mulch, which will then be available for residents to pick up for personal use.
