McPherson JV Tennis Dominates Buhler Tournament
JV girls tennis team delivered a flawless performance
The McPherson High School JV girls tennis team delivered a flawless performance at the Buhler tournament, capturing first place as a team out of eight schools while sweeping every individual division.
The Bullpups posted perfect 4-0 records across all four divisions, with Ava Miller claiming the #1 singles title and Maddie Ekholm winning #2 singles. In doubles action, the tandem of Audra Sandbo and Sadie Krug took first place in #1 doubles, while Brenna Sullivan and Piper VanCampen captured the #2 doubles championship. Despite facing hotter temperatures throughout the day, the team maintained their focus and competitive drive. "While the girls swept all of the divisions, many had some good matches throughout the evening," said coach Ricardo Sanchez. "These girls have had a busy stretch but stayed focused and were driven to do well. There's a reason our overall team has done well, the girls push each other to get better each day!"
