McPherson JV Girls Golf Claims Buhler Invitational Title
Bullpups dominate field with 202 team score as French and Prose finish 1-2 individually

The McPherson High School JV girls golf team captured first place at the Buhler Invitational held at Hesston, carding a team score of 202 to outdistance runner-up Andover by 15 strokes in a commanding performance.
Junior Addie French led the Bullpups' charge with a tournament-winning round of 44, while teammate Ari Prose followed closely behind in second place with a 45. The one-two individual finish provided McPherson with a strong foundation for their team victory. Junior Rosario Schowengerdt contributed a tie for sixth place with a 52, continuing the balanced scoring that separated the Bullpups from the competition.
The depth of McPherson's lineup was evident throughout the roster, with Maylin Bruce tying for 22nd place with a 61, sophomore Cali Whitenack earning a tie for 25th with a 62, and Brynn Littlejohn rounding out the scoring in a tie for 27th place with a 63. The consistent performances across all six competitors demonstrated the program's development and competitive balance.
Andover finished second with a team score of 217, while Wellington claimed third place at 225. The 15-stroke victory margin highlighted McPherson's dominance in the field and showcased the continued growth of the JV program as players develop their skills for potential varsity competition.
