McPherson JV Football Defeats Augusta 30-20
Rinker throws four touchdown passes as Bullpups secure road victory

AUGUSTA — Quarterback Brady Rinker threw four touchdown passes to lead the McPherson JV football team to a 30-20 victory over Augusta on Thursday night.
Rinker connected with Adrian Unruh on a 4-yard scoring strike in the first quarter, with Felipe Barrera-Prado adding the 2-point conversion. The Bullpups added a safety when Mason Miller and Jayvonte Body combined for a sack in the end zone.
Rinker found Jaxon Hoover on a 13-yard touchdown pass to extend McPherson's lead, though the 2-point conversion attempt failed. Gavin McElwain came up with a crucial fumble recovery to give the Bullpups excellent field position.
The junior signal-caller then unleashed a 64-yard scoring bomb to Kinnick Anderson, with Max Crane rushing in the 2-point conversion to put McPherson ahead comfortably.
Rinker capped his impressive performance with a 47-yard touchdown pass to McElwain in the fourth quarter, though the 2-point try was unsuccessful.
The victory showcased the Bullpups' balanced offensive attack and opportunistic defense as they improved their record with the 10-point road win.
