McPherson JV Defeats Circle 26-14 in Hard-Fought Victory
Young Bullpups overcome second-half rally with strong rushing attack and timely passing

The McPherson JV football team secured a 26-14 victory over Circle, using a balanced offensive attack to pull away in the fourth quarter. Graham Prescott opened the scoring early in the first quarter with a 35-yard touchdown rush, though the extra point attempt failed, giving McPherson a 6-0 lead. Felipe Barrera-Prado extended the advantage in the second quarter with a 5-yard scoring run, but another failed two-point conversion left the score at 12-0.
Circle mounted a comeback effort, cutting the deficit to 12-6 before halftime and pulling within four points at 18-14 early in the fourth quarter. However, McPherson responded decisively when Brady Rinker connected with Brody Hoffman on a spectacular 54-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, and Justin Bagby sealed the victory with a 5-yard touchdown run with 5:03 remaining. Colt Chapman's successful two-point conversion rush provided the final margin. The young Bullpups' ground game proved pivotal, with multiple players contributing rushing touchdowns in the team's impressive offensive showing.
