McPherson will honor the men and women who serve and protect the community during First Responders Night 2025, a free public event scheduled for Thursday, September 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lakeside Park.

The family-friendly celebration will showcase local police, fire department, EMS, sheriff's office, U.S. Army personnel and other first responders who keep the community safe. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore emergency vehicles, watch live demonstrations and meet first responders in person.

Children and families can interact directly with the heroes who serve McPherson daily, learning about their roles and responsibilities while building positive relationships with law enforcement and emergency personnel. The event aims to strengthen community bonds and show appreciation for those who dedicate their lives to public service.

The evening promises fun, educational opportunities and community pride as residents come together to celebrate the local heroes who respond when called upon. Organizers encourage families to bring children of all ages to participate in this unique opportunity to connect with first responders in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

All activities are free to the public, making the event accessible to every family in the community. The celebration represents McPherson's commitment to recognizing and supporting the brave individuals who work tirelessly to ensure public safety.
