McPherson hospital veteran honored with statewide medical staff service award
Tara Williams recognized for modernizing credentialing records and improving workflow efficiency
MCPHERSON, Kan. — Tara Williams, an executive assistant who oversees provider credentialing at McPherson Center for Health, received the Excellence in Service Award from the Kansas Association of Medical Staff Services. Williams, who has worked at the hospital for more than 20 years, was selected from four nominees statewide to receive the honor and a $500 stipend. She was recognized for her behind-the-scenes leadership and efforts to improve workflow efficiency, which recently included transitioning the hospital's active medical staff from paper records to a fully electronic system.
