McPherson Hospital Earns Top National Rating

Hospital joins elite group of Kansas facilities with highest possible CMS quality score.

McPherson Hospital Earns Top National Rating

MCPHERSON — McPherson Center for Health has achieved a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, placing it among only eight Kansas hospitals to earn the highest possible quality score. The rating puts the facility among the nation's top hospitals and makes it the only hospital within 60 miles to achieve this distinction.

CMS evaluated the hospital across five key areas: mortality, safety, readmission rates, patient experience, and timely, effective care. Contributing factors to the achievement include new tele-stroke technology in the emergency room, on-site stereotactic breast biopsy services, expanded provider access, strengthened community partnerships, and gold standard recognition in women's care and birth services. "This recognition is a testament to what's possible when we stay rooted in our community while striving for excellence," said CEO Tanner Wealand, while COO Charity Clark called it "proof of the impact we make every single day."
