McPherson High School Volleyball Sweeps Tournament at Wichita Southeast
Undefeated Run Culminates in Championship Victory Over Goddard

McPherson High School's volleyball team dominated the tournament field at Wichita Southeast, posting a perfect 6-0 record to capture the championship. The Bullpups opened with a forfeit victory over Wichita Independent before rolling through the bracket with straight-set victories over Wichita Southeast (25-17, 25-17), Wichita Life Prep Academy (25-6, 25-10), Wichita South (25-12, 25-9), and Goddard (25-15, 25-16) to reach the finals. In the championship match, McPherson completed their flawless tournament run with a 25-16, 25-19 victory over Goddard to claim the title.
The tournament victory was powered by outstanding individual performances across the roster. Junior Brooke Doile led the offensive attack with 39 kills while adding 32 digs, while Ava Romero contributed 36 kills, a team-high 46 digs, and four blocks in the all-around effort. Setter Rylie Whitfield orchestrated the offense with 100 assists while contributing 13 service aces, and Elley Paulsen added 23 kills to the balanced scoring attack. The defensive effort was anchored by Romero's dig total, with additional contributions from Carmin Pavlovich (23 digs) and Adelyn Barrow, who chipped in eight service aces to complement the team's dominant serving performance.
