McPherson Girls Pull Away from El Dorado 53-40
Sandbo scores 13, Doile adds 12 as Bullpups improve to 6-6 with home victory
The McPherson Bullpups girls basketball team used a strong fourth-quarter performance to pull away from El Dorado 53-40 on Monday night at the Roundhouse, improving to 6-6 on the season.
Sandbo led the Bullpups with 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting, including three three-pointers, while also dishing out 3 assists and recording 3 steals. Doile dominated inside with 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for a double-double. Cooper contributed 10 points on perfect 2-of-2 shooting from the field, adding 6-of-8 from the free throw line, while Alvord scored 9 points. Whitfield chipped in 8 points for McPherson.
The game was competitive early, with El Dorado leading by as many as six points in the first quarter, but McPherson took control in the second half. The Bullpups outscored the Wildcats 17-8 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. For El Dorado, Hadley led with 11 points, Parker added 10, and Morgan contributed 9 points off the bench
