MCPHERSON, Kan. — A McPherson firefighter has been arrested, prompting an internal review by city officials and the fire department, according to a statement released Friday by Fire Chief Chad Mayberry. The city declined to provide details about the nature of the allegations or the identity of the firefighter involved, citing personnel matter policies. "The City of McPherson and the MFD take these allegations very seriously, as public safety is the highest priority," Mayberry stated, adding that no further comments would be made while the matter is under review.
