McPherson Fire Department Unveils Two New Attack Trucks
Push-in ceremony set for Thursday evening at Fire Station 2
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Fire Department is adding two new attack trucks to its fleet, with a public push-in ceremony scheduled for Thursday, February 12th, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Fire Station 2, 1705 N. Main St. Tours of the station will also be available during the event.
Attack trucks, also known as brush trucks or wildland attack units, are designed to provide a faster, more agile response to grass, brush and wildland fires, particularly in areas inaccessible to larger engines. The department said the new units feature modern safety upgrades, updated equipment and rugged off-road capability, allowing firefighters to respond more quickly and operate more safely. Fire officials thanked city leadership, staff and residents for their continued support in making the equipment upgrades possible.
