McPherson Fire Captains Attend Wildland Fire Investigation Training
Kansas Fire Marshal's Office hosted 40-hour course in Sedgwick County covering origin, cause determination and evidence handling
MCPHERSON, Kan. — Two McPherson Fire Department captains participated in a 40-hour Wildland Fire Investigation course led by the Kansas State Fire Marshal's Office in Sedgwick County last week. Captain Becker and Captain Hedlund expanded their fire investigation skills through the program, which covered origin and cause determination, fire behavior, scene documentation, evidence handling and practical exercises. The department said it was appreciative of the KSFM for providing the training opportunity.
