McPherson Falls to Blue Valley 81-51 in First Round of MIT
Bullpups drop opening game of 62nd Annual Invitational
The McPherson Bullpups fell to Blue Valley 81-51 in the opening round of the 62nd Annual McPherson Invitational Tournament on Wednesday night at the Roundhouse. The Tigers shot a scorching 63% from the field (34-of-54) and 47.6% from three-point range (10-of-21) to hand the Bullpups their seventh loss of the season.
Reasoner led McPherson with 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting, while Pyle added 10 points and 4 assists. Strathman contributed 5 points and Cooper scored 7 points despite foul trouble. For Blue Valley, Walsh dominated with 28 points on 12-of-19 shooting, while Seithel added 23 points and Sogard contributed 10 points and 5 assists.
McPherson will continue tournament play in the consolation bracket as they take on St. James today at 11:30am in the Roundhouse.
