McPherson Education Foundation awards annual classroom grants to local teachers
Community-funded initiative supports innovative lessons and professional development outside the district's operating budget
MCPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Unified School District 418 educators will receive a new round of financial support for innovative classroom projects through annual grants awarded by the McPherson Education Foundation. Administered by the McPherson County Community Foundation, the community-funded grants are distributed across four categories to directly finance specialized learning tools, expert visits, and professional development that fall outside the district's regular operating budget. The foundation, which awarded more than $27,000 to fund diverse educational programs in the previous cycle, finalized the May 2026 recipients to begin implementing their student-focused initiatives during the upcoming academic year.
