McPherson College Partners with K-State for Graduate Degree Head Start

MCPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson College students can now get a head start on master's degrees in healthcare fields through a new partnership with Kansas State University that allows undergraduates to take graduate-level courses counting toward both degrees. The agreement enables eligible students to pursue advanced coursework in Kinesiology or Public Health at K-State while completing their bachelor's degree locally.

Students may apply before their junior year ends and, once accepted, can take up to nine hours of approved graduate courses starting the summer between junior and senior years. "With the growing demand for healthcare professionals with graduate credentials in both of these fields, students who take advantage of this agreement will be well-positioned for today's health care job market," said Aaron Meis, McPherson College's executive vice president. The partnership addresses critical workforce needs while providing a seamless pathway to advanced education for Kansas students.
