Chamber, Main Street Plan Campus Welcome Events Aug. 17

The McPherson Chamber of Commerce and McPherson Main Street are inviting local businesses and organizations to welcome college students at two on-campus events Aug. 17. A vendor and lunch fair runs from 10 a.m. to noon at Central Christian College of Kansas, 1200 S. Main, with registration due Aug. 1 to Julie Holloway at 620-241-0723, ext. 105. The McPherson College Back-to-School Extravaganza runs from 5-7 p.m. in the Wise Campus Commons, with sign-ups due Aug. 13 to Myles Sandolph.

County Commission Candidates to Face Voters July 30

The chamber's Civic Awareness Committee will host a candidate forum from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at the American Legion, 401 N. Main.
