McPherson YMCA Announces Leadership Team Changes
Journey Mennonite Church Focuses on Community Service and Expansion Journey Mennonite Church, located at 201 E. Euclid, is actively expanding its local outreach efforts under the guidance of Campus Pastor Carson Stutzman. During the recent Advent season, the congregation collected over 800 pounds of food and more than $2,500 for the McPherson County Food Bank. In February, the church collaborated with other local congregations and over 250 volunteers to host the Night to Shine event, celebrating approximately 110 guests with special needs. The church is also currently exploring plans to utilize designated facility space for a new childcare center to address a significant community need.
Local Businesses Invited to Register All Schools Day Bargains The McPherson Chamber is inviting local businesses to participate in the upcoming All Schools Day festivities by offering a "Button Bargain". Businesses can market themselves by designing promotions such as buy-one-get-one deals, double punches, or discounts for patrons during the week of May 8. Interested merchants can register their custom promotional offers by completing an online form.
McPherson YMCA Announces Leadership Team Changes The McPherson YMCA has announced two key leadership transitions, appointing David Foster as Senior Branch Director and Darrin Regier as Senior Program Director. Foster, who has 28 years of experience with the YMCA, will support both the Hutchinson and McPherson branches with a focus on staff development and community engagement. In his new full-time role, Regier will direct youth sports for the McPherson branch and oversee the membership and gymnastics directors.
McPherson College Shatters Records with Power Day 2026 Campaign McPherson College successfully raised a record-breaking $448,971 during its Power Day 2026 campaign on March 12. The fundraising event surpassed all of its matching gift challenges and garnered participation from 422 alumni and friends. Organizers thanked the community for its contributions, noting that the campaign set new institutional records for both total funds raised and the number of individual donors.
