STEPMC Graduation Slated for March 9
Bello Capelli Celebrates 27 Years, Adds Oxygen Therapy Bello Capelli Salon & Boutique, located at 115 N. Main, is celebrating 27 years of serving the community with professional hair services and a boutique. The salon's team includes stylists Deb Luttig and Charlsie Sullivan, esthetician Kristi Shingleton, and nail technician Lacey Zerkel. Additionally, the location now features the O2 Box Mac, a wellness therapy chamber that uses pressure to increase oxygen absorption to aid circulation and recovery. Customers are invited to book appointments and visit during the Spring Sip & Shop event on March 12 to enter a drawing for a free oxygen therapy session.
Elyria Christian School to Host Chicken Noodle Dinner Elyria Christian School will hold its Annual Chicken Noodle Dinner fundraiser on March 3 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the McPherson County 4-H Building. The free-will donation event features a menu of chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, cabbage slaw, dinner rolls, and homemade pie. Guests can choose indoor dining with choir performances by ECS students, or opt for carryout and drive-thru services.
STEPMC Graduation Slated for March 9 The community is invited to attend the STEPMC graduation celebration on March 9 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. The event will take place at West Zion Mennonite Church, located at 101 Washington in Moundridge.
Extension Office Offers Free Spanakopita Cooking Class The McPherson County Extension Office will host a free "Teach & Taste" class on March 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.. Participants will learn to make Spanakopita and must register by calling the office or signing up via Facebook.
Downtown McPherson Prepares for Spring Sip & Shop McPherson Main Street will host a Spring Sip & Shop event in downtown McPherson on March 12 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.. Participating businesses will offer exclusive sales, prizes, and refreshments to kick off the spring season.
ThriftFest 2026 to Feature Over 50 Vendors The Ark Antiques & Flea Market at 301 S. Main will host ThriftFest 2026 on March 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. The ticketed event will feature more than 50 outdoor vendors selling items priced at $5 or less, with general admission tickets costing $3 for attendees 12 and older.
Auditions Announced for 'Willy Wonka' Production McPherson Community Theatre will hold auditions for Roald Dahl's "Willy Wonka" at the McPherson College Mingenback Theatre on March 29 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and March 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. Directed by Joe Hirsch, the production is scheduled to run across two weekends from June 19 to June 28.
