McPherson Bullpups Dominate Winfield Vikings 44-18
Lady Pups improve to 4-6 with decisive home victory at the Roundhouse
The McPherson Bullpups girls basketball team rolled to a commanding 44-18 victory over the Winfield Vikings Monday night at the Roundhouse, improving to 4-6 on the season.
McPherson controlled the game from the opening tip, building a 26-8 halftime lead and extending their advantage to 33 points by the end of the third quarter. The Bullpups held Winfield to just 14.3% shooting overall.
Piper Alvord led McPherson with 9 points, while Maryn Sandbo and Jersey Alexander each added 8 points. Brooke Doile contributed 5 points and a team-high 7 rebounds. For Winfield, Karsyn Hutto paced the Vikings with 8 points.
The Bullpups dominated the boards with a 38-23 rebounding advantage and forced 27 turnovers. McPherson is set to host Circle on Saturday.
