McPherson Boys Split Weekend Games
Bullpups Bounce Back Against Liberal, Start Season 2-1
MCPHERSON — The McPherson High School boys basketball team split a pair of games over the weekend, falling to Salina South on Friday before bouncing back with an impressive victory over Liberal on Saturday.
December 5 vs. Salina South
The Bullpups dropped their first game of the season Friday night, falling 58-43 to Salina South. The Cougars controlled the contest, handing McPherson their first loss after opening the season with a win.
December 6 vs. Liberal
McPherson responded with a strong performance Saturday, defeating Liberal 66-47 for a convincing 19-point victory. The Bullpups' balanced attack and solid defensive effort helped them bounce back quickly from the previous night's defeat.
McPherson now stands at 2-1 on the young season and will travel to Derby on Monday, December 9, for their next contest.
