McPherson Bowling Competes Against Circle at Starlite Lanes
JV boys earn win while varsity squads fall; Stiggins posts 612 series to lead Bullpups
The McPherson High School bowling teams competed against Circle on Wednesday at Starlite Lanes in McPherson, with the JV boys earning the only victory of the evening.
In varsity action, the Circle girls defeated McPherson 1556-1366, while the Circle boys topped the Bullpups 2467-2245. For the McPherson girls, senior Ali Stevens provided consistency with games of 116, 120, and 120 for a 356 series, while Maddie Langworthy led the team with a 142 single game and 361 series. The Bullpup boys were paced by junior Rayce Stiggins, who posted the best individual performance of the evening with games of 214, 206, and 192 for a 612 series. Carsen Bruce added a 202 game and Bentley Konen rolled a 205.
The McPherson JV boys defeated Circle 1887-1497 behind strong performances from Simon Blake (208 single game) and Kollin Ponting (200 single game). Junior Karter Hundley posted an excellent series with games of 147, 184, and 173 for a 504 total.
