MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson City Commission approved a special-use permit Monday to allow construction of a new Les Schwab automobile parts and service retail store in the city’s interchange business district. The action, approved by Ordinance No. 3453, applies to a 1.5-acre tract directly south of the Candlewood Inn and Suites at 2219 E. Kansas Ave. The site is within the Wallace First Addition. Under the ordinance, the applicant must submit and receive approval of a final site plan before construction can begin. The ordinance takes effect following its official publication.
