McPherson 8th Grade Volleyball Teams Sweep Rose Hill
A Team remains undefeated while B Team continues strong season with dominant victories
Both McPherson Middle School 8th grade volleyball teams secured victories over Rose Hill in Tuesday's home dual, with the A Team maintaining their perfect season and the B Team adding another win to their impressive campaign. The undefeated A Team (8-0) overcame a competitive Rose Hill squad 25-11, 25-19, in what Coach Christine Pianalto described as featuring "some of the longest rallies we've had this season." Despite falling behind early in the second set due to unforced errors, the Bullpups rallied with strong serving and disciplined play to secure the sweep.
The B Team (7-1) also dominated their matchup, defeating Rose Hill 25-17, 25-20, in straight sets. Coach Ally Lusk praised her team's adaptability, noting that "the girls stepped up again to fill positions they have not played." The A Team showcased exceptional offensive execution, with their setters distributing the ball evenly to all hitters while running a high-tempo offense against a defensively solid Rose Hill team. Both squads will face their next challenge Monday, September 22, when they travel to Mulvane Middle School for a triangular tournament against Mulvane and Circle.
