MCFC 16 Boys Soccer Sweeps Sunday Doubleheader
Shorthanded MCFC topples FC Wichita Navy and unbeaten FC Atletico on same day.
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The MCFC 16 Boys youth soccer team overcame Mother's Day roster shortages to sweep a Sunday doubleheader, defeating FC Wichita Navy 6-4 and previously unbeaten division leader FC Atletico 6-3. Griggs and Heiman each scored hat tricks across both matches, combining for five goals apiece, while the center back pairing of Fuqua and Gross anchored a defense that held two quality opponents in check. The sweep improved MCFC to 3-2-1 on the season heading into a final doubleheader May 17.
