Cross Country: Indians Punch Tickets to State

Manhattan's girls and boys cross country teams are heading to Lawrence after claiming Regional Championships in Wichita on Saturday. Both squads will compete at the state meet on Saturday, November 1st, at Rim Rock Farm, with the girls racing at 10:35 a.m. and the boys taking the course at 12:20 p.m.

Football: Dominant Victory Sets Up Garden City Showdown
Manhattan continued their impressive season with a commanding 43-0 shutout of Washburn Rural last Friday, marking their fifth victory by 30 points or more this season. The win was particularly notable as it came against another top-ranked Kansas team—the Blues were ranked 22nd while Manhattan held the 10th spot.
Next Up: The Indians host Garden City on Thursday, October 31st, at 7:00 p.m. Manhattan enters the matchup riding a perfect 5-0 streak against the Buffaloes. The Indians' stingy defense, allowing just 12.8 points per game this season, will look to continue their dominant form against Garden City's offense.
Girls Golf: Back-to-Back State Champions
The Indians captured their second consecutive 6A State title—and the program's 13th overall—on October 21st at Hesston Golf Course. Manhattan showed true championship grit, overcoming a six-stroke deficit after day one to win by 12 strokes on day two. The team's depth was on full display with three golfers finishing in the top 10 and five of six players landing in the top 20.
