MCPHERSON, Kan. — The MAC Wrestling Club will send a record 33 wrestlers to the Kansas state tournament in Topeka after 33 of its 48 district competitors placed in the top four to qualify, shattering the club's previous mark of 22 state qualifiers. Girls competition begins Friday, with boys taking the mat Saturday and placement matches set for Sunday.

District champions heading to state are Mason Barrow (8U 40), Kannon Swaim (8U 49), Kip Fly (10U 76), Braelyn Hicks (10U girls 80), Channing Blake (10U 82), Laci Montano (10U 85), Tristan Hicks (10U 100), Serenity Alexander (10U girls 110), Sloan Shober (12U girls 120) and Gavin Williams (14U 125). Second-place finishers include Airalia Hulvey (10U girls 55), Demory Stupka (10U girls 60), Viktor Kretzer (8U 61), Drace Stupka (10U 90), Sophie Racines (12U girls 110), Madison Burkes Jr. (high school 120), Jacob Magnall (high school 132) and Towns Delaney (14U 140).

Third-place qualifiers are Bentley Schafer (10U 70), Brody Wealand (12U 80), Aiden Barrow (12U 88), Hayden Hicks (12U 96), Alex Montano (14U 110), Julian Moore (high school 113), Rheamy Rierson (14U girls 125), Jhett Reazin (10U 170) and Blake Babcock (14U girls 210). Fourth-place finishers rounding out the state contingent are Dre Stupka (8U girls 55), Styles Blazek (10U 76), Eli Brown (14U 90), Arrianna Nowell (high school girls 115), Tatem Schulz (14U 120) and Izzabell Klamczynski (high school girls 130).
