Local youth wrestlers earn multiple first-place finishes across Kansas competitions

MAC Wrestling Club Competes at Four Tournaments

The MAC Wrestling Club competed at four tournaments recently, with wrestlers earning numerous podium finishes across multiple events.

Rumble on the Rails

First-place finishes came from Schafer (10U 70) and Stupka (6U Girls 55). Blake placed 2nd at 10U 82, while Stupka also earned 3rd at 8U Girls 55. Stupka finished 4th at 10U Girls 65.

David Goodsell Jr Memorial

Hicks (10U Girls 80-85), Hicks (10U 100), and Swaim (8U 49) all captured first place. Reazin placed 2nd at 10U HWT, while Barrow finished 4th at 6U 40. Barrow (12U 88) and Hicks (12U 96) also represented MAC at the tournament.

12th Junction City Bramlage Brawl

Six wrestlers claimed first place: Swaim (8U 49), Hulvey (10U Girls 52), Kretzer (8U 58), Blake (10U 82), Montano (10U Girls 82), and Montano (14U 110). Second-place finishers included Kretzer (6U 43), Williams (8U 61), and Schafer (10U 70). Blazek (10U 76), Williams (14U 125-130), and Delaney (14U 135-140) each placed 3rd, while Sundell (6U 43) and Mendoza (10U 82) took 4th. Sundell (8U 52), Phillips (6U 52), and Schafer (12U 120) also competed.

Newton Kids Open & Novice

Copeland (6U 64-67) and Foster (8U 76) earned first-place honors. Seven wrestlers placed 2nd: Krier (6U 43), Whitenack (6U 58), Alexander (8U 43), Schulz (14U 115-120), Alexander (8UG HWT), Fly (10U 79), and Wealand (12U 80-84). Third-place finishers included Heizelman (6U 49), Reazin (10U HWT), and Fly (12U Girls 120-130). Fleming (6U 58), Alexander (8U 67), Linden (12U 80-84), and Ward (12U 115) placed 4th. Walker (8U 55-58), Puhalla (6U Girls 65), Reazin (6U Girls 65), Wall (10U Girls 65), and Vance (10U Girls 70) also represented MAC.
