Diesel averaged $6.28 a gallon nationally on Friday, according to AAA. A year ago it was $3.68. Kansas is right around $6.

This isn't entirely a crude oil problem. It's a refining capacity problem, made worse by 2 wars that together took 1.6 million barrels a day of diesel off the market. This article will cover the red diesel fight, the 2 wars, the price of oil, the last time we were here, and what it all means in November.
