Lindsborg Museum Names New Executive Director
Hayley Samford brings fundraising experience and local ties to 64-year-old institution.
LINDSBORG, Kan. — The Lindsborg Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum has appointed Hayley Samford as its new executive director, effective Monday, March 30. Samford, who most recently served as Director of Alumni Engagement and Development at Bethany College, brings extensive experience in community engagement, fundraising, and strategic planning to the 64-year-old museum. A Smoky Valley High School graduate with deep family roots in Lindsborg, Samford previously held leadership roles at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina, the Oak Harbor Main Street Association in Washington state, and the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce. "My family and personal connections mean the mission of the mill is very personal," Samford said, noting the museum's importance to the Smoky Valley and Kansas as a whole. She holds a bachelor's degree in business from Baker University and is a 2022 graduate of the US Chamber of Commerce Institute of Management.
