LINDSBORG, Kan. - The Lindsborg City Council removed an item regarding amendments to the city's zoning code from the agenda at the start of the meeting. It was stated that the item was pulled to allow council members more time to review the paperwork and prepare for questions, with the intention of addressing the amendments in the near future.


Council member requests study session on zoning map

LINDSBORG, Kan. - Following the removal of the zoning amendment agenda item, a council member requested a study session to better understand "special use" designations and specific zoning map boundaries. The council member cited confusion regarding the current map, questioning the placement of certain zones near Burma Road, and it was agreed to arrange a meeting with the Planning and Zoning Committee to clarify these issues.


City enters mutual aid pact with rural water district

LINDSBORG, Kan. - The council unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding with McPherson County Rural Water District No. 6. City Administrator Tanner Faust explained that the agreement allows city staff to assist the water district during the extended absence of an operations manager, marking the first time the two entities have established a mutual aid agreement for water services.


Emergency repair approved for electric substation

LINDSBORG, Kan. - Public Works Director Denny Walker received authorization to purchase and install a replacement fan control for an electric substation transformer. The council approved the expenditure, not to exceed $7,768.88, to be performed by the Kansas Municipal Energy Agency (KMEA) to ensure the equipment remains operational as seasonal temperatures rise.
