LINDSBORG, Kan. — City Administrator Tanner Faust announced that the city will host an informational meeting regarding housing rehabilitation grants on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. at the Sundstrom Conference Center. The meeting, organized in partnership with the Smoky Valley Arts & Folklife Center, aims to assist homeowners in applying for Kansas Department of Commerce funding to renovate their properties. Faust noted that the grant guidelines have changed to allow for citywide applications rather than being restricted to specific targeted neighborhoods.

LINDSBORG, Kan. — Lindsborg Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Holly Lofton reported that the city experienced an "exceptional" year regarding transient guest tax revenue, marking four consecutive years of growth. Lofton noted that while the State of Kansas is currently auditing some municipalities for misusing these funds on non-tourism infrastructure, Lindsborg remains fully compliant, utilizing its 6 percent tax levy strictly for tourism marketing and development.
Community development director highlights board vacancy
LINDSBORG, Kan. — Community Development Director Milton Collins reported a current vacancy on the Design Review Board, which meets the third Tuesday of every month to oversee aesthetics, signage and structural designs within the C2 downtown business district. Collins also reported that the board is currently reviewing downtown streetscape ordinances, particularly regarding outdoor seating for businesses.
