Lindsborg Hosts Holly Jolly Dala-Day Downtown Celebration
Six-hour family event features Santa photos, cookie decorating, and treasure hunt for "Dala Bucks"
Downtown Lindsborg will transform into a winter wonderland for the Holly Jolly Dala-Day, a six-hour family celebration organized by Christmas in Lindsborg, the Lindsborg Recreation Department, and seven partnering organizations. The event offers free holiday activities for families, including Santa photos, barrel train rides, children's shopping opportunities, and special surprises throughout the downtown area.
Santa Claus will be stationed downtown from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a Holiday Photo Op location in front of First Bank Kansas on Main Street, ready to hear children's holiday wishes and pose for family photos. Free holiday goody bags will be distributed to children while supplies last, and downtown elves have hidden a limited number of "Dala Bucks" throughout the area that children can redeem at participating businesses on the day of the event only, creating an exciting treasure hunt experience for young visitors.
Additional activities include free Dala Cookie Decorating hosted by Lindsborg Parks and Recreation inside the Sundstrom Conference Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., giving children the opportunity to decorate traditional Swedish cookies. The event encourages families to explore downtown businesses and enjoy the festive atmosphere while participating in the various holiday activities throughout the six-hour celebration.
