Lincoln Elementary Traffic Flow Improved with One-Way Street
200 block of East Earl Street converted to enhance student safety
The 200 block of East Earl Street has been converted to a one-way street between Elm and Ash streets in a collaborative effort between the McPherson Public Works Department and Lincoln Elementary School officials to improve traffic safety during school hours. The change, which went into effect recently, is specifically designed to streamline vehicle flow and enhance safety during the busy morning drop-off and afternoon pickup times when parents and buses converge at the school. The one-way designation aims to reduce congestion and potential conflicts between vehicles navigating the narrow residential street, providing a safer environment for students walking to and from school while creating a more efficient traffic pattern for parents and school transportation.
