Lady Pups Fall to Andale in Close Contest
Andale Pulls Away in Second Half to Hand McPherson 47-41 Loss
The McPherson Lady Pups battled Andale to a 19-19 halftime tie Thursday night but were unable to maintain their momentum in the second half, falling 47-41 on the road. The loss drops McPherson to 8-9 on the season as they head into the final stretch of the regular season.
Brooke Doile paced the Lady Pups with 10 points, while Jersey Alexander added nine points in the losing effort. Maryn Sandbo contributed seven points and Piper Alvord chipped in six as McPherson struggled to find offensive rhythm after the break. Despite the balanced scoring attack, the Lady Pups were outscored in the second half as Andale pulled away for the victory.
McPherson will look to bounce back Tuesday, February 10, when they return home to host Hays High School for Think Pink night. The Lady Pups will aim to get back on track in front of their home crowd while supporting breast cancer awareness.
