Lady Bullpups Dominate Campus in Season Opener
Defensive Pressure, Balanced Scoring Lead McPherson to 50-32 Victory
The McPherson Lady Bullpups opened their 2025-26 season with a convincing 50-32 road victory over Haysville Campus, using relentless defensive pressure and balanced scoring to pull away in the second half. Head coach Clint Kinnamon deployed his depth effectively, rotating 10-11 players with relatively equal minutes to maintain constant pressure on the Campus offense.
The Lady Bullpups' high-pressure defense forced numerous turnovers throughout the game, but it was their second-half defensive intensity that sealed the victory. Junior Rylie Whitfield led the balanced scoring attack with 12 points, while sophomore Amarie Lowery added 10 points. Senior Brooke Doile and sophomore Jersey Alexander each contributed 8 points in the winning effort. McPherson now faces the same grueling three-game weekend schedule as the boys team, with back-to-back games at Salina South on Friday and Saturday, facing the Cougars and Liberal respectively.
