More than 360 people gathered at Hobart-Detter Field in Carey Park on July 11 for the Jayhawk Collegiate League All-Star Game, capping a night of community events and military appreciation in Reno County.

The evening served as Family Baseball Night for Reno County employees and also honored local veterans as Military Appreciation Night. Members of the Kansas Honor Flight attended the festivities, which included a visit from the Reno County Sheriff’s Office and its BearCat armored response vehicle.
