HUTCHINSON VOTERS NARROWLY APPROVE 0.75% SALES TAX

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson voters narrowly approved a 0.75% city sales tax Tuesday with 51.7% of the vote (2,316 to 2,166) for city operations and improvements. The tax takes effect Oct. 1 and expires Sept. 30, 2036. Results are unofficial until canvassing is complete.
