Hutchinson volleyball sweeps triangular, defeats Salina South, Campus

The Hutchinson High School Salthawks hosted a volleyball triangular with the Salina South High School Cougars and Haysville Campus High School Colts at the Salthawk Activity Center on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025. The Salthawks brought a 6-2 record into the meet.

Senior outside hitter No. 6 Ella Frederick skies to hit against the Salina South High School Cougars. The Hutchinson Salthawks defeated the Cougars 2-1 on Sept. 9, 2025.

The Salthawk ladies triumphed in both of their matches. In the first match, Hutchinson defeated Salina South two sets to one, with scores of 25-14, 22-25 and 25-18. In the second match, Hutchinson secured the victory against Campus, winning two sets to none, with scores of 25-16 and 25-20.

The Hutchinson squad showcased quality throughout the lineup, with all members contributing to the victories. Seniors No. 8 Myka Thompson, No. 6 Ella Frederick, No. 11 Bryten Ashcraft and sophomore No. 10 Tenley Keeton stood out for their performances.
