HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The USD 308 Board of Education unanimously approved a personnel report Tuesday during a special meeting called to address staffing transitions ahead of the district's next regularly scheduled session.

The board convened March 31 to act on personnel matters requiring timely approval — a circumstance that prompts many Kansas school districts to schedule special spring meetings each year. As educators and staff move between districts, hiring timelines frequently conflict, often requiring a receiving district to formally approve an incoming employee before the departing district has voted on that person's resignation.

Before voting, the board recessed into executive session. Upon reconvening, members approved the personnel report without dissent. The full report is available at www.usd308.com/boe.

The personnel report was the only item on the meeting agenda.

The board's next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 14, at 6 p.m. at the USD 308 Administration Center, 1520 N. Plum, Hutchinson, Kan.
