Hutchinson nurse receives DAISY Award

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System has recognized Beth Walters, a registered nurse and charge nurse in Outpatient Infusion, with the DAISY Award for outstanding compassion, professionalism and dedication to patient care.
The DAISY Award recognizes extraordinary nurses who demonstrate exceptional skill and compassionate care. Walters was nominated by a patient's family member who praised her attentive and thoughtful approach to patient care.
"Beth has cared for my dad as if he were her own father—always attentive, compassionate, and thoughtful," the nomination stated. "She takes the time to explain things in simple, understandable terms, which has meant so much to us."
