Hutchinson Hospital to host Veterans Golf Classic Sept. 26
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System will host its second annual Veterans Golf Classic on Sept. 26 at Carey Park Golf Course, with proceeds supporting veteran-focused programs in the local community.
The tournament will feature a four-person scramble format with check-in beginning at 9 a.m. The event serves as both a fundraiser and community tribute to local veterans, according to organizers.
"The 2nd Annual Veterans Golf Classic is more than a tournament — it's a chance to stand with those who've served," organizers said in promotional materials.
Sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels, ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. Gold sponsors contribute $3,000, while silver sponsors donate $2,000. Bronze sponsors and hole challenge sponsors each contribute $1,000.
The healthcare system, located at 1701 E. 23rd Ave., has positioned the tournament as part of its broader community outreach efforts. The hospital system provides comprehensive medical care to the south-central Kansas region.

Carey Park Golf Course is located in Hutchinson, approximately 50 miles northwest of Wichita. The course has hosted various community tournaments and fundraising events.
The inaugural Veterans Golf Classic was held in 2024, though attendance and fundraising figures from the first event were not immediately available.
Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System operates as the primary medical facility serving Reno County and surrounding areas. The hospital has been part of the Hutchinson community for several decades.
