Hutchinson Fire Department announces annual school supply drive
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Fire Department will collect school supplies for children in need during its annual drive Aug. 1-3, partnering with Allen Samuels and RCB Bank.
Firefighters will be stationed at Dillons locations on 5th and 30th streets, as well as Walmart, during specified collection hours. The drive runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 1, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 3.
All collected items will be distributed directly to Reno County schools, where teachers will provide supplies to students in need. The fire department will also accept cash donations and handle purchasing supplies for donors.
Residents can also drop off donations at any Hutchinson fire station, Allen Samuels or RCB Bank locations throughout the drive period.
The annual supply drive supports students across Reno County schools as families prepare for the upcoming academic year.
