Hutchinson Community Foundation opens second grant cycle for Reno County nonprofits

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community Foundation is accepting grant proposals through Aug. 15 for the second round of its 2025 Fund for Reno County program, offering up to $50,000 for qualifying community development projects.

The Impact Cycle 2 grants target two primary areas: community and economic development projects, which can receive up to $50,000, and organizational strengthening initiatives, which are eligible for up to $7,500.

Community and economic development grants will support projects that build a diverse workforce, revitalize downtown business districts, assist existing businesses and attract new ones, and encourage entrepreneurship. The foundation also seeks proposals for placemaking projects in public spaces and initiatives that improve housing quality and accessibility throughout Reno County.

The smaller organizational grants aim to strengthen the capacity, sustainability and resilience of community-based organizations serving the county.

Both 501(c)(3) organizations and fiscally sponsored groups serving Reno County are eligible to apply. Applications must be submitted online through the foundation's website.

Sarah Blake, the foundation's program contact, is available to answer questions about the grant process at sarah@hutchcf.org or 620-663-5293.

The Hutchinson Community Foundation, established to serve the charitable needs of Reno County, manages multiple grant programs throughout the year to support local nonprofits and community initiatives.

Organizations interested in applying can access the online application portal at hutchcf.org/nonprofitsandgrants/available-grants.
