Sign up freeHUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community Foundation is launching the third and final year of its Love Where You Live Resident Perception Survey, offering a $50,000 grant pool to incentivize Reno County participation.
The initiative, designed to gather benchmarking data and guide future community investments, was scheduled to kick off with a virtual mobilization meeting at noon Tuesday ahead of the survey's official launch on Aug. 17. The public input period will run through Sept. 30.
Under the new incentive structure, participating communities will receive a proportionate share of the grant funds based on their percentage of total countywide responses, with a maximum share capped at 30% per community.
Partnering with Innovation Economy Partners, the foundation hopes to exceed last year's turnout of 1,144 respondents and translate the data into collaborative action.
Over the past two years, surveyed residents have prioritized attracting and expanding local businesses, renovating or removing blight, improving public infrastructure, and increasing access to quality and affordable housing.
The approximately 10-minute survey, open to residents ages 16 and older, will be available in both English and Spanish at RenoSurvey.com.
